Jennifer has always wanted to become a multi-tasking celebrity. In her youth, she enjoyed a variety of genres of music, but she particularly enjoyed Afro-Caribbean dances such as salsa, merengue and the bachata as well as mainstream music , like pop, hip-hop and R&B. While she was a huge admirer of music, she also had a interest in the world of film is equally strong. West Side Story (1961) was the Rita Moreno musical that greatly influenced her, was also her greatest influence. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer is also an entertainer , as well as a Catholic schoolgirl, attended eight years at Holy Family Catholic Elementary School located in The Bronx. After a 4 year period in the Bronx, she graduated from Preston High School, an all-girls prep school. While at high school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete who played in tennis and track. She spent most of her upbringing in a two-story house in the Castle Hill neighborhood. Jennifer left home when she was 18 , and moved in with her family. At the time, Lopez worked at a law firm while she took dancing jobs at night.
